"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." - Isaiah 26:3

Oh, to be a kid again!
Gratefully, I work a job where I not only get to advocate for children, but it places me in the midst of many kid-themed activities.
Today, work led me to set up a table inside Kidzu Children's Museum in Chapel Hill, NC. First and foremost, I'm so grateful to God for opening this door! The museum is willing to help us with recruiting foster families in any way that they can - that kind of help doesn't come to me very often!

That said, this place is absolutely amazing! There's something for kids of pretty much all ages.
I loved how there were so many centers that catered to kids with all different kinds of interests - storytelling, arts & crafts (my preferred section as a kid), science & technology, etc. I loved it....but definitely not more than the kids!
Although all of the screams and yells were a little overstimulating, it brought me joy to see how much fun the children were having - from throwing balls everywhere to designing their own book! Nothing compares to the joy and wonder of a child. Maybe that's why I do what I do - because every child deserves a loving family and a safe space to live out that joy!

Since it's nearly 11pm, I want to keep it pretty brief tonight so, really quickly:
As I know you know, life brings about its hurdles for sure. As much as you try to focus on the positives, sometimes the negatives seem so much louder in your head. Here's what I know that you (and I) need to do: look up!
It's easy to face front and get consumed with the challenges that you're facing. Instead of letting your mind spiral, look up (literally or in your head!). Be reminded that God is sovereign over everything that you're going through.
Keep your mind stayed UP on Him and trust Him to help you. He promises that He'll trade you your worries for His peace!
Again, keeping it short tonight. I love you, but God loves you wayyyyy more!
