"Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive His approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth."- 2 Timothy 2:15 NLT

\Let me just tell you: I went back and forth about making this an actual post on this blog. It doesn't exactly flow with what my content has looked like...
...but when I think I about it, food is so much a part of who I am and how I experience the world. As a matter of fact, if you look through my camera roll, you'll probably see more pictures of food than anything else! LOL
So you know what? Every now and again, I will be sharing recipes with y'all. Sounds good?
Without further ado, here is a recipe that had me in a chokehold:
For Thanksgiving, my husband bought 2 packs of Kings Hawaiian Rolls. For the most part, both packs didn't get eaten and were sitting in the pantry. For weeks, I had been thinking about what would I do with those rolls...
On the first day of my Christmas vacation, I decided to cook myself a nice breakfast and then the thought came to me: I was going to make little french toast bites out of them! Hawaiian rolls are already good on their own, so I could only imagine how good they'd be as french toast.
So I went to work, not veering much off of my usual french toast recipe:

I started by cutting each roll in half, making two little bites.

In a mixing bowl, I added about a cup of heavy cream (maybe more - I didn't measure!). To that, I added one egg, a healthy bit of vanilla extract, maple extract (since we had it on hand), cinnamon, and sugar. I gave this mixture a good whisk.
(Again, this was all by the Spirit, so there are no measurements!)

On medium heat, heat about 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet. Once the skillet is heated, gently dip each piece of bread in the mixture on both sides (letting the excess mixture drip off) and place them on your buttered skillet.

Let each side of the bites cook for about 4-5 minutes (or until each side is golden brown).
Once golden brown on each side, remove from the skillet and sprinkle french toast bites with your favorite toppings, like cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, and/or warm syrup.

Y'all these were soooo good!! So good, that I ended up making another batch a couple of days ago!
Let me know if this is something that you would try and/or if you would like me to share more of my food adventures :)
